Spectators during Covid – Step 3
Submitted By Chris Dadds on Friday, July 16, 2021
Hi Everyone

STEP 3 of Covid re-opening is here which allows us to have more parents and guardians, relatives and friends to attend practices and games. PDMBA discussions with the Health Authority has determined that we will be able to host up to 75% Capacity which represents 375 spectators at the diamond with restrictions on seating on the bleachers.

The wooden bleachers on the Home and Visitor sides are reserved for the use of players and coaches. The metal bleachers are for the use of spectators but have restricted usage. Signs will be placed in front of the bleachers on the fence showing the maximum occupancy as determined by the Health Authority. This will allow people to sit 6 feet apart. The large bleachers have a maximum limit of 15 whilst the smaller ones next to the concession are restricted to 8 on each. This will allow a maximum of 61 persons occupying the bleachers.

Can you also please ensure that there are no more than 15 spectators per player at games. Players are encouraged to bring their own fold up chair to home and visitor games. Dugouts in Port Dover will not be used by the players due to distancing rules. Any extra spectators over and above those permitted on the bleachers should use the grassed areas around the diamond so it is highly recommended that everyone bring suitable portable seating, in case on arrival, the bleachers are at maximum occupancy.

Players are asked to please ensure that they have a mask for when they are in the bench area, please just keep one in the back pocket of the pants. Masks are not required on the field of play.

There are hand sanitiser units around the diamond. The players and spectators are asked to use them frequently.

We ask that all visitors ensure that they maintain appropriate physical distancing and wear masks where necessary in line with the current health guidelines.

Hope to see you all soon.
