PDMBA Suspends 2020 Baseball Season
Submitted By Chris Dadds on Thursday, June 18, 2020
Hi Everyone

As you are all aware we have not been able to use the diamond up to this time due to Covid 19 and restrictions imposed by the Ontario Provincial Government.

As we are entering Stage 2 on Friday (June 19th) we are now allowed to have social gatherings of up to 10 persons. This number includes players, coaches and any parents....

..On examination of all the restrictions together with the OBA Return to Baseball Protocol, we have identified that our association is not able to provide sufficient resources to manage the detailed requirements to enable practice or games (if this is allowed by Government in the future). Therefore the PDMBA Executive has decided that baseball for this year has been suspended.

Believe me this decision has not been taken lightly.

There is a possibility if the OBA requirements change drastically that some training sessions might be able to be held during August and September.  This will be reviewed as the months go on.

For those of you that have paid for your registration there are two choices, you can either move your payment over to next year, this could avoid a registration increase should that be deemed necessary, or you can have a refund of the registration fee by E transfer.  If you require a refund then please contact Liz Dadds ([email protected]) asap with an appropriate E mail address for the E transfer and she will send it out to you.

Take care of yourselves and hopefully we will see you in winter ball in January 2021.
