PDMBA Privacy Policy
Port Dover Minor Baseball is a
not-for-profit amateur sport organisation.
In the course of providing our services, Port
Dover Minor Baseball may collect and transfer to other baseball organisations
Personal Information.
Such information will relate to past
current and future Baseball seasons. Typically, our website will display photographs
with names in celebration of accomplishments both past and present.
We have prepared this policy to inform you
about our ongoing commitment to ensuring that the Personal Information obtained
during the course of our activities remains accurate and confidential.
Collecting, using, and disclosing personal information in an appropriate,
responsible, and ethical manner is fundamental to Port Dover Minor Baseball.
We
strive to protect and respect personal information of its customers and
business partners. This policy applies to all Personal Information within Port Dover Minor Baseball possession and control.
What is Personal Information
We consider "Personal
Information" to mean any information about an identified individual or an
individual whose identity may be inferred or determined from such information,
including name, date of birth, address, phone number, e-mail address, birth
certificate number, Photographs etc., other than business contact information
(e.g. name, title, business address, business telephone number). This Policy
does not cover aggregated data from which the identity of an individual cannot
be determined. Port Dover Minor Baseball retains the right to use aggregated
data in any way that it determines appropriate.
We Collect personal Information
and use it solely for the purpose of conducting our operations together with
offering programs and services to players, coaches and umpires. This also
includes the publication of photographs and awards on our website and
associated Port Dover Minor Baseball social media such as Facebook and Twitter,
together with publications in local press associations, for example the attendance
of press personnel at our annual Award Ceremonies, games and other events. Consent
to such is part of the registration of players.
Port
Dover Minor Baseball hereby asserts that Personal Information will only be used
for the following purposes:
Administration of the
various participant databases and linked database applications required for the smooth operation of Port Dover Minor Baseball in respect to, but not restricted to, Coaches, Players, Umpires, Volunteers, Parents and Guardians. This list is an example of some of the information we store but is not an exhaustive list.
Regulation of
competition within our Association and associated games and practices,
including confirming eligibility of players, coaches and umpires for
competitions
Submitting
information to the Ontario Baseball Association to allow for participation in
Representative events by players, coaches, umpires and other officials
Management of our
information technology
Publication of
accomplishments (Including Photographs) within Port Dover Minor Baseball
information technology platforms and local press associations
Other reasonable
purposes consistent with our operations.
The personal information we ask for will
depend upon which services you may be interested in obtaining. Port Dover Minor
Baseball will not disclose Personal Information provided to it, unless such
disclosure is required in order to provide a participant or connected
Association with our services.
We only collect, use and disclose Personal
Information for purposes that would be considered reasonable in the circumstances
and only such information as is required for the purposes of providing services
or information to participants, connected Association and others. We use only
fair and lawful methods to collect Personal Information.
Consent to the
collection occurs and is obtained when an individual signs (including
electronic submission) an application or other form containing Personal
Information, thereby authorising Port Dover Minor Baseball to collect, use and
disclose the individual's Personal Information for the purposes stated on the
form.
