Peewee House 2022 Simcoe Tournament Champions
After winning the House League in 2022 the Port Dover Peewee House team showed its dominance in the end of year tournament in Simcoe by going undefeated in all games over a 3 day period. A team of boys and 1 girl who always worked together to achieve their goals. An inclusive team to be proud of.
In the
game of baseball, nothing gets the emotions flowing and the blood pumping like
the feeling of inspiration and motivation. This group of kids were inspired to
work hard, improve and win. This showed in the plays that were made in the Tournament.
Our team not only improved as the season
progressed, but we improved the other teams in our division. The biggest
contributing factor to the success of our kids were the parents. They
supported the team and were eager to get the kids to the diamond and volunteer
their time as well. Full team effort. Long lasting relationships
were made. When people ask what they will be doing in the winter without
baseball, they will stare out the window waiting for spring.
As
first-timers to Port Dover Minor Baseball, we were extremely impressed with the
amount of field time the kids had available to them. The entire season
seemed effortless. Thanks to everyone!
